Hot Apple Cider in the Commons Today & Tomorrow!

To help kick off finals week we have hot apple cider in the Commons (Library, room 510) today and tomorrow! Stop by anytime to have a cup or just study in the space with others.

Join our NEW Find Your Pack Mentoring Program!

The Honors Program is launching a mentor/mentee program called "Find Your Pack" where first and second year students of similar majors will be grouped into "packs" led by older Honors students.

If you are a 1st or 2nd year honors student and would like to be a mentee, please fill out the following Honors Mentorship Program Mentee Interest Form by December 10th! It's a great way to be a part of our Honors Community!

HNRS 265 is Canceled!

Due to very low enrollment we have to cancel HNRS 265 in Winter 22 quarter. We will reschedule it for Spring 2022. If you have questions please contact the Honors office or email honors@calpoly.edu.

Update on Honors Seminars (HNRS 299s)

Our 1-unit HNRS 299 seminars are almost all filled! We will increase enrollment up to 20 in each section to allow some students off the waitlists.

Information about HNRS 261!

We will not be able to offer an additional section of HNRS 261 in Winter quarter. We will offer 2 sections in Spring 22. See Module 4.1 of the Honors Program Handbook on Canvas to learn about other ways you can satisfy this requirement.

One way is to take the Emerging Leaders Series through the Center for Leadership. The dates for Winter Quarter have not been finalized but will be released by the end of Fall Quarter. For more updates from the Center for Leadership, sign up to join their newsletter. If you participate, please fill out the Substitution Request for HNRS 261.

Are you planning to take HNRS 361 or 461 next quarter?

If you completed your Track experience (and already received approval by completing the Form in Module 4.4 of the Student Handbook) you can enroll in HNRS 361. If you have completed (or almost completed) your Senior Project in your major you can enroll in HNRS 461. Both of these courses are asynchronous. Enrollment is by permission only. Please email honors@calpoly.edu for a permission number.

Intergroup Dialogue Facilitator

This Winter 2022 quarter the campus is offering Intergroup Dialogue (IDG) Facilitator training. For more information on IGD, please see here: https://cla.calpoly.edu/student-resources/IGD. Link here to sign up.

If you complete the training and are selected to become a facilitator you can use this experience to fulfill your Honors Co-Curricular Experience (Teaching/Mentoring).
