THIS WEEK'S HONORS EVENT!

Submit to our Honors Annual Art Contest!

Art can include:

  • Digital or traditional drawings/ paintings
  • 3D art (e.g., pottery, fiber arts, sculpture, etc.)
  • Photography

Submission Form: Spring 2026 Honors Art Contest – Fill out form

NOTE: you are submitting any form of traditional art (for example, physical paintings or any form of 3D art), please submit a photograph of your art piece.

Seeking Learning Assistants for HNRS 1000 in Fall 2026!

Dr. J is seeking Learning Assistants to help with HNRS1000 in Fall. Any honors student, including current first years, can be a learning assistant! HNRS 10-0 will meet once per week on Wednesdays 4:10 to 6:00pm. To be a Learning Assistant you will have to leave this time open. Learning Assistants will help facilitate small group discussions during class and help small groups with a series of innovative projects. Students completing their learning assistant assignments receive credit toward their Honors Program requirements (Honors Program Elective 1.0 unit). 

Being a Learning Assistant is a great way to support our Honors Community! And it's a great resume builder to put under Leadership Experience!

If you are interested in serving as a Learning Assistant for HNRS complete the HNRS1000 Learning Assistant Interest Form by May 22nd!

Attention 3rd Years! NEW Next Year! HNRS 4461!

Starting in Fall 2026, HNRS 461 will become HNRS 4461. HNRS 4461 will no longer be offerred asyncronously. It will be an an in person 1 unit credit/no credit seminar. Every graduating senior will be required to take one section of HNRS 4461 in either Fall 26 or Spring 27. We will offer 2 sections in Fall and 2 in Spring.

Read more about HNRS 4461 Capstone Seminars and the sections that will be offered next year. Seminars will be capped at 25 so enrollment is for seniors only and on a first come first enroll basis!

Seeking Honors Awards Nominations!

The Honors Program is seeking nominations for 3 Awards to be presented at our Graduation Celebration on June 3rd. Please consider nominating your favorite faculty and 2 graduating seniors for the following awards. You do not have to be a senior to nominate someone for an award. Self nominations are also accepted! Descriptions are included in the nomination form links below. Nominations DUE MAY 15th.
