Welcome to the Honors Weekly Update!

It's going to be a wonderful year!!

A warm welcome to our incoming first years, new junior transfers AND our new group of continuing students who joined the program this summer.

What is the Honors Weekly Update? Every week we will post information you will want to know--upcoming Honors events, new course offerings, experiential opportunities, campus resources, job opportunities and more--so get in the habit of checking it every week.

You can find the Honors Weekly Update link on the Honors Website. Its a widget at the bottom of the Home page. Be sure to bookmark the website where you will find lots of helpful information.

The Honors Commons is YOUR SPACE!

The Honors Commons is on the 5th floor of the Kennedy Library. Room 510! There are tables to work at, chairs to read in, white boards to brainstorm on,and bean bags to nap. There are also two computers connected to a printer for you to use. We also keep snacks stocked and a keurig machine ready for you. Come by anytime between 8am and 8pm M-TH and 8am to 6pm on F. You will all receive the keypad code with instructions in a separate email. This way you can enter on your own if you get there before we do!

Speaking of the Honors Commons....

Come join us THIS Thursday, August 27 anytime from 9am to 3pm for our Honors Commons Welcome. Come for snacks and to have your questions answered by our Leadership Team!

Seeking a Learning Assistant ASAP for HNRS 2299-05!

We are seeking a student to serve as a Learning Assistant THIS SEMESTER for HNRS 2299-05: Wednesdays 1:10-1:50pm Money Mindset: Building Habits that Reflect Who You Are.  Learning Assistant will be required to attend the class at its scheduled time. If you are on the old catalog, serving as Learning Assistant will fulfill the Honors Co-Curricular: Teaching/Mentoring requirement for 3rd and 4th years; 1st years will receive 1 unit of Honors Elective credit.

The Learning Assistant Interest Form is due by TOMORROW! (Sorry we need a quick turn around on this one).

Take an Honors Seminars this Fall 2026! 

There are few seats available in our Honors Seminars. First Years consider taking one! They are credit/no credit, low work, but fun! Check the details on our Honors Seminars link!

ALSO: There are a couple seats up in HNRS 2261. Email Kelsey for a permission number (kdavis56@calpoly.edu).

Attention Seniors!

If you are graduating this year remember you will need to take HNRS 4461 in either FA26 or SP27!

Are you completing your Honors Track or HIP this Fall?

If you are completing your HIP this Fall semester you are required to create an Adobe Portfolio while you conducting your HIP. If you are completing your Track, although the portfolio is not required I encourage you to do one. It will be extremely helpful when you enroll in HNRS 3361!
