Student Assistant Peer Advising Drop-in Hours:
Check out the HNRS 299 Seminar Offerings for WN22 & SP22!
Check out the 1-unit HNRS 299 seminars we will offer this Winter and Spring quarters. These seminars are designed to give Honors students a unique opportunity to learn about a topic from expert scholars. Seminars meet once per week for 50 minutes. They are taken for Credit/No Credit and can be used as an Honors elective. They are designed to be interesting and engaging and appropriate for any major. The workload is appropriate for a 1-unit seminar (i.e., not a heavy workload!). It's a place to have great conversations with other honors students led by a super amazing faculty member (Many of the seminar instructors are Cal Poly Distinguished Teaching Award recipients!) Take advantage of this unique opportunity available only to Honor students!
Consider HNRS 265 in Winter22!

Planning your schedule for the year?
Use the Tentative Course Offerings link to see what Honors courses will be offered this year.
Do you have priority registration for Winter?
Cal Poly provides Special Exception Registration Status (i.e. Priority Registration) to first- and second-year students who are members in good standing in the Honors Program. Students with Special Exception status may register first according to Cal Poly's registration appointment schedule. See module 2.12 of the Canvas Honors Handbook to learn more about the requirements to be in good standing to receive Special Exception status. First years, remember that enrollment in HNRS100 takes the place of HNRS 161. Check in advising for first years will occur in HNRS100.
CO-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES
Check back next week when we will announce a few new co-curricular experience opportunities for Winter quarter!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Food Pantry Garden
Did you know that the Honors Program takes part in a community garden that provides produce for Cal Poly's Food Pantry? If you want to support the Food Pantry by being involved in the Garden, please submit the Food Pantry Garden Interest Form. The Food Pantry Garden is managed by our very own Honors student, Chad McCormick (BMED, 3rd YR).
A big THANKS to everyone who came out to volunteer this weekend in planting the veggie beds! See our Honors Instagram for some pix!
