Do you have priority registration for Winter?

Cal Poly provides Special Exception Registration Status (i.e. Priority Registration) to first- and second-year students who are members in good standing in the Honors Program.  Students with Special Exception status may register first according to Cal Poly's registration appointment schedule. See module 2.12 of the Canvas Honors Handbook to learn more about the requirements to be in good standing to receive Special Exception status. First years, remember that enrollment in HNRS100 takes the place of HNRS 161. Check in advising for first years will occur in HNRS100.

CO-CURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

Last Chance! Student Art Advisory Committee Call for Participation. Campus Health & Wellbeing is redesigning their space to better foster a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive community environment. They are seeking students to join a Student Art Advisory Committee to help research artists, identify prints and artwork for potential selection based on the themes of Mental health, holistic wellbeing, and physical health; and to advise in the placement and installation within the Campus Health & Wellbeing footprint. Please email your interest to: Kimberli D. Andridge, kandridg@calpoly.edu and Catherine Trujillo, ctrujill@calpoly.edu by October 11th, 5:00 p.m. If you are selected to serve on this committee it can be used to satisfy either a Track or Co-curricular experience (see Dr. J if you apply and are selected).

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers needed for our Food Pantry Garden October 16th!

Did you know that the Honors Program takes part in a community garden that provides produce for Cal Poly's Food Pantry? WE NEED YOUR HELP! October 16th is our first Garden Workday! This is a day full of plant education, plant propagation, community building, and, of course, sustainability!

We will begin at 10am Saturday, October 16th on the grass outside the health center by the rock wall. Come dressed in something comfortable and something that you're not afraid to get a little dirty! Don't forget your water! Gardening gloves will be provided for volunteers.

If you can't make it on October 16th but you want to get more involved in the  Garden, please submit the Food Pantry Garden Interest Form. The Food Pantry Garden is managed by our very own Honors student, Chad McCormick (BMED, 3rd YR).
