Take an Honors Seminar in Fall!!

There are still seats available in the 3 Honors Seminars (HNRS 299) we are offering in Fall. Remember HNRS 299s can count toward your required Honors Electives. And HNRS 299 section 2 can be used to substitute for HNRS 261!

Last Chance for First Year Check In

Attention first year Honors Students!! Remember complete your 4-Year Check List. You then need to have it signed off by a peer advisor or student assistant. Sign up for a 10 minute slot with a Peer Advisor on the Google Form. Or stop by the Honors Commons during any of the following times:

Tuesday 5/31: 8am - 10:30am, 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Wednesday 6/1: 9am - 12pm, 4pm - 6pm

Thursday 6/2: 9am - 1pm, 2pm - 4pm

Friday 6/3: 8am - 12pm

Need a permission number?

If you have completed a Co-curricular or Track experience and are ready to take HNRC 200-02, HNRC 200-03 and/or HNRS 361 email honors@calpoly.edu for permission numbers. REMEMBER we are only offering HNRS 361 in Fall22 & Winter23. HNRS 461 will be offered in WN23 & SP23.

Opportunity for Transfer Students!

Kennedy Library Inclusive Transfer Fellow 2022-23 is seeking applicants! Fellows in this new program engage heavily with the library and gain working knowledge of the spaces, services, and resources the library provides. They also collaborate with each other and the Transfer Center in strategizing ways to share what they've learned with other Transfer Students. It is a three-quarter committment and accommodates participants' schedules. The stipend is $1,000, and the intention is to award several fellowships for the 22-23 year. The deadline is June 13. Please see the Co-Curricular Experiences link under the Current Students tab for the steps to take to fulfill this requirement. We will post new opportunities that you can consider for fulfilling these requirements as they come up.

Teaching/Mentoring

Seeking Honors Learning Assistants!

We are seeking students who are interested in serving as Learning Assistants to our Honors seminars (HNRS 299) in Fall 2022 quarter. If you are interested please complete the Learning Assistant Interest Form by June 8th. Learning Assistant responsibilities will involve assisting a faculty instructor in a particular HNRS 299 seminar. Responsibilities may include facilitating discussions, preparing course activities, and answering student questions. Learning Assistants will be required to attend the class at its scheduled time.

If you are selected as a candidate, we will be in touch with you about your availability to be a Learning Assistant for a specific course. If you are selected you can count this as your Teaching/Mentoring Co-Curricular experience!
