Show your Honors spirit! Purchase an Honors T-shirt!
We are taking orders for our super soft Honors t-shirts. T-shirts are $15. If you are interested, fill out the Honors T-Shirt Order form. Orders are due by Friday October 21st! On the form we ask you if there is other Honors merch you would like has to have avaialble.
Do you have priority registration for Winter 2023?
Cal Poly provides Special Exception Registration Status (i.e. Priority Registration) to first- and second-year students who are members in good standing in the Honors Program. Students with Special Exception status may register first according to Cal Poly's registration appointment schedule. See module 2.12 of the Canvas Honors Handbook to learn more about the requirements to be in good standing to receive Special Exception status. First years, you will learn more about registration and your Honors Requirements in HNRS 100 this quarter.
Are you graduating this year?
Please fill out our Honors Graduation 22-23 AY survey if you are planning to graduate this academic year. Deadline to fill out: Friday, October 14, 2022.
NOTE: If you are planning to graduate this year but don't think you will be able to complete your remaining Honors requirements, please email us at honors@calpoly.edu to formally drop out of the Honors Program. This will not affect your ability to graduate from Cal Poly or be noted anywhere on your transcript.
Would you like to do research for your Track Experience?
Dr. J (Jovanovic) is looking for volunteer Research Assistants, to work in her Relationships Lab. Her current study involves collecting the Love Life Stories of emerging adults as a way of examining how romantic and sexual experiences inform or are informed by aspects of self or identity. Research assistants may take on a variety of responsibilities, including conducting literature reviews, developing surveys, transcribing interviews, coding interviews, and analyzing qualitative data. Research assistants will also read previous research related to the study and participate in weekly lab meetings. Research assistants must be willing to commit to volunteering in the lab for 5-10 hours per week.
If interested, please fill out the Research Assistant Application. Applications are due by Friday, October 14th at 11:59pm.
Volunteer in the Food Pantry Garden!
Did you know that the Honors Program takes part in a community garden that provides produce for Cal Poly's Food Pantry? In fact, the garden was a class project started by Honors students! If you want to support the Food Pantry by being involved in the Garden, please submit the Food Pantry Garden Interest Form.
Job Opportunities
NEW! Cal Poly's Center for Service in Action's Leadership Team (CSALT) is looking for students who are passionate about service to join our team. If you're interested in community service and want to develop event planning, marketing, and community engagement skills, we strongly encourage you to apply. Responsibilities include: attending weekly meetings, planning events based on community needs, volunteering for and promoting community partners' events, supporting and engaging in social justice issues within our community, and collaborating with and taking direction from the CSA Pro Staff. Applications are due October 7th at midnight.
