Have questions about Study Abroad?

If you have questions about study abroad a good place to start is with our Honors Study Abroad Peer Advisor!

Do you have priority registration for Spring 2026?

Cal Poly provides Special Exception Registration Status (i.e. Priority Registration) to first- and second-year students who are members in good standing in the Honors Program. Students with Special Exception status may register first according to Cal Poly's registration appointment schedule. See module 2.12 of the Canvas Honors Handbook to learn more about the requirements to be in good standing to receive Special Exception status. If you do not meet the requirements you will not have special exception status for Spring!

First round registration for students with Special Exception starts if February 19th!

NOTE: 2nd Years, remember this will be the last time you have priority registration. The University only allows Honors to award Special Exception Status for 1st & 2nd years.

Planning your schedule for NEXT QUARTER?

Use the Tentative Course Offerings link to see what Honors courses will be offered in Spring. We will update the link with our tentative semester offerings after Spring registration.

Check out the Honors Seminars that will be offered in Spring!

Planning to Graduate Early?

If you are now a senior based on your completed coursework, make sure that your intended graduation date is updated with the Cal Poly “changing your graduation term” form at the registrar website.

Attention First Years!! Mandatory Check In!!

To ensure you have a plan and are making good progress toward your Honors Requirements, we are requiring all first years to meet with a Peer Advisor by the end of Spring quarter 2026. Before meeting with the Peer Advisor fill out the 4-Year Check List. You can indicate on the checklist when you plan to complete certain requirements and what you think you will do for your High Impact Practice requirement. Bring the form with you to your check in and have the Peer Advisor sign and collect the form. First years who do not complete a check by end of Spring 26 quarter will not receive priority registration in WN27.

We have three wonderful Peer Advisors who are available to answer your questions. Learn more about our Peer Advisors and when they are available each week under the Peer Advising link.
