University Honors Program

Live, Learn, Achieve

The Honors Commons is Back!

Until our more permanent-temporary space becomes available, the University has assigned us the large conference room on the first floor of Jespersen Hall (bldg. 116; when you walk into the building turn left) to use as our Commons. There are lots of tables, chairs and whiteboards. It's the same building with Jenni's temporary office and the Honors printer. The room will be open M-F, 8am to 5pm.

There are still spots on the Honors Intramural Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee or Vollyball Teams!!

If you are interested in joining the Honors Intramural Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee or Volleyball team please complete our google form.  Teams are gender inclusive! Please note there is a $25 per quarter individual charge to play IM's. However the  "player pass" allows you to play on as many teams as you want for $25. We have a limited number of spots on both teams so sign up fast!

Do you still need to complete your Leadership Requirement (i.e. HNRS 261)?

FREE Leadership Certificate Courses are being offered Winter quarter through Cal Poly's Center for Leadership! These workshops are once a week, low stress AND can be used as an approved alternative to taking HNRS 261. If you are looking for an opportunity to strengthen your personal leadership skills, deepen your self-awareness, or learn to lead in different contexts, join us in the UU, room 217 for just 2 hours each week. No prior experience is required, and participants will receive a certificate once the series is completed. If you are interested, register on Cal Poly Now, and please email leadership@calpoly.edu if you have any questions!

Check out the Senior Projects by last year's seniors!

Check out the inaugural Honors Leaving a Legacy: 2023 Senior Project Showcase. It will give you an idea of what you can expect for your senior project!

Add Community Service to your Cal Poly Transcript!

Get credit for your community service participation put on your University Transcript! To get credit, you must complete a minimum of 150 hours over the course of your time at Cal Poly.
