Check out the Events we have planned for Spring!

Seats Still Available in Honors Seminars!

There are a few seats available in the following Honors Seminars!

HNRS 299-01: Mondays 2:10pm-3:00pm, Lean and Loafe: Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself"

HNRS 299-07: Tuesdays 4:10-5:00pm, Spike Lee to Ousmane Sembène: Filmmaking in Africa and the Diaspora

HNRS 299-10: Thursdays 10:10am-11:00am; Leadership and Group Dynamics (This seminar can be used to substitute for HNRS 261)

A Note About Cross-Listed Courses

REMEMBER! The only way to get credit for an honors course is if you register under HNRS. Just because a course is cross-listed does NOT mean it is an honors section. Honors sections are only honors sections if you can enroll under HNRS. Otherwise it is NOT an honors section and you will not get honors credit for the course.

Attention First Years!

To ensure you have a plan and are making good progress toward your Honors Requirements, we are requiring all first years to meet with a Peer Advisor by the end of Spring quarter 2026; June 5th!. Before meeting with the Peer Advisor fill out the 4-Year Check List. You can indicate on the checklist when you plan to complete certain requirements and what you think you will do for your High Impact Practice. Bring the form with you to your check in and have the Peer Advisor sign and collect the form. First years who do not complete a check by end of Spring 26 quarter will not receive priority registration in WN27.

Tentative Course Offerings AY 2026-2027 Now Available

The Tentative Course Offerings link reflects which Honors courses will available next year, AY 2026-27 when we move to semesters. Remember this can change as we add new courses so check back frequently.

Study Abroad Opportunity

CIEE and Karen Collias, founder of Knowledge Without Borders, today announced a $50,000 philanthropic agreement to establish the Knowledge Without Borders: Democracy and Memory Fellowship, which will support student participation in a 12-week, Berlin-based study abroad program focused on exploring the past to better understand the present.

The Fellowship will provide a minimum of four $10,000 scholarships for first-generation, Pell-eligible undergraduate students to enroll in CIEE’s Berlin Open Campus Block program for 12 weeks (two six-week academic blocks), opening the door to study abroad for students who might otherwise never have the chance to engage in transformative international learning.

Cal Poly application for the CIEE Open Campus Berlin program (Blocks II + III) by April 15.
