The Honors Program is designed to continually motivate Honors Students to maintain a high level of progress in their academic careers. To help students achieve their academic goals, the Program office monitors GPA's throughout the academic year, and provides individual counseling and assistance as needed. A high level of integration between Honors Students and faculty also helps ensure success.

All Honors students are required to complete HNRS 100, Orientation to the University Honors Program. In addition to HNRS 100, Students admitted as freshmen and mid-year freshman applicants must complete 8 Honors Classes. Transfer students and mid-year non-freshman applicants must complete 6 Honors Classes.

There are certain academic standards that must be met in order to receive credit for an Honors Course, and to graduate "with Honors." Honors students can refer to the Honors Cal Poly Blackboard site for more details regarding the Honors academic requirements.
